- FRED, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis: US indices, Nikkei 225, VIX, Bitcoin and Ether (Coinbase). Updated nightly.
- ECB euro reference rates (about 14:15 CET): all FX pairs. ECB quotes each currency per euro, so US dollars per unit = (USD/EUR) ÷ (currency/EUR). Updated nightly. These differ slightly from market closes.
- Yahoo Finance via yfinance: the other indices, commodity, metal and bond futures. Fetched only on demand (
uv run newstrack assets refresh --yahoo), because Yahoo's data hosts disallow automated clients. Personal use only. A row dated today is a live price if that market is still open.
